Our Leaders

Kieran Grekul-Somerville

PRESIDENT

Kieran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University.

Prior to Rotman, Kieran worked within the Commercial & Engineering Group at Aecon, one of Canada’s largest construction companies. He consulted on various projects ranging in value from $10M to $6B in order to solve challenging commercial issues. Kieran has gained extensive experience assessing construction damages and navigating dispute resolution processes. 

This summer, Kieran is working at the Entrepreneurship Hatchery as an MBA Connector and is excited to advise early-stage start-up companies in developing their business plans and investor-ready pitches.

Adrianna Noble

Executive Vice President

Adrianna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto. She is in the Skoll BASc/MBA program.

Prior to Rotman, Adrianna worked at Enwave Energy Corp. as an Energy and Optimization PEY Co-Op. At the sustainable district energy company, she completed technical and financial analyses for utility incentive programs on efficiency projects. She’s also previously held internships at the National Bank as a Wealth Management Intern and at Kirkland Lake Gold (Agnico Eagle) as an effluent treatment operator.

This summer Adrianna is working in New York City for Environmental Energy Economics’s (E3) Asset Valuation team. She is excited to follow her passion supporting clean energy transition investments in the finance capital of the world.

Audrey Benmergui

VICE PRESIDENT, COMMUNICATION

Audrey has a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Engineering Business from the University of Toronto and is in the Skoll BASc / MBA program.

Prior to joining Rotman, Audrey’s background focused on human factors engineering and human-centered design in academic research as well as at Defence Research and Development Canada. She also worked in IT strategy and enterprise architecture consulting at KPMG. 

Audrey is looking forward to continue exploring the multi-disciplinary applications of human-centered design through a business lens, especially in technology strategy and transformation.

Ryan Farrell

VICE PRESIDENT, INTERNAL

Ryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University.

Prior to Rotman, he worked in the utilities industry, first as an implementation specialist. In this role, he worked with municipalities to develop and improve their water billing processes and train them on hardware and software products. He then moved into a Project Supervisor role, managing network hardware installation projects and leading teams of contractors.

Ryan’s experience working in customer-facing roles and aligning project outcomes with clients’ goals have led him to pursue a career in consulting. He is excited to be working with Accenture this summer as a Senior Strategy Consultant.

Hertz Ma

VICE PRESIDENT, Logistics & Planning

Hertz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Product Development from Singapore University of Technology and Design.

Prior to Rotman, he worked as an engineer at HP Inc. for 5 years, where he served in different departments including operation, research and development. He led a team of engineers on developing and deploying vision system solutions for improving quality and defects detectapability in the printhead manufacturing line.

This summer, he is working as a pathways operations manager intern at Amazon, tasked to lead a continuous improvement project for gaining efficiencies and productivity in the Amazon fullfilment center. Outside of work, he loves building tech gadgets and playing sports.

Aashav Patel

VICE PRESIDENT, Professional Programs

Aashav is a chemical engineer with a Master’s degree from Western University, London.

Prior to Rotman, Aashav spent three years of his career scaling up carbon-negative technologies. Then, recognizing the importance of digital transformation, he transitioned into a strategic leadership role, where he successfully spearheaded initiatives for a major manufacturing firm. 

This summer, he’s working as a strategy intern, tasked with developing business cases in the digital health space and realigning corporate strategy for a major hospital in the Greater Toronto Area. Outside of work, he loves watching Formula 1 racing and hasn’t missed a race in the last seven years.

Robert McKay

VICE PRESIDENT, External

Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering – Power Electronics, both from Queen’s University. He is in the part-time MBA program. 

Currently, Robert works at General Motors as a Control Engineer in Manufacturing where he leads Kaizen projects and provides engineering oversite and support to all production and maintenance functions. Prior to joining GM, Robert worked at Hepburn Engineering as an Electrical Engineer in charge of mine hoist control system design and commissioning. With Hepburn, he had the opportunity to work on long-term international projects, including projects at mines in Indonesia, Mongolia, Mexico, and Northern Canada.  

Outside of work, he is passionate about hockey, snowboarding, and travel.
